Apple Computer is now the worlds biggest tech company, surpassing Microsoft Corp. In 1997 Apple was almost bankrupt with Microsoft helping to keep Apple alive with an investment of 150 million dollars. With the introductions of the iMac, iPod, iPhone and now the iPad, Apple has clawed its way to the top of the heap with a market capitalization of $222.12 billion according to Yahoo Finance.
